The Big Night

Yay its half time my heart is pounding with excitement.
All the girls and boys walked  to the rainbow reading room to get there sparkly pompoms.
‘Right said Mrs Thompson it is time to go on the stage.’’
I was so anxious I might stubble up on the stage.
So all the girls quickly walked up  the stairs onto the stage. WOOHS! As the curtain slowly opened I saw the audience looking at me.
Suddenly the boys came up.
I got this feeling inside my bones sang the song.
As I leaped to do my roundoff I felt like I did my best roundoff I had ever done.
“ We have a song as well’’ said Piper
“ Do you want to hear it? Asked Kruz
“ Yes please’’ replied King Arthur.
I fast walked to get my yellow pompoms and then walked back to our spot. The river runs deep the river runs slow the song played.
Finally when the song stopped Ella approached the cage
And then gave the ipod to the king.
‘’ Here you go” said Ella
‘’ Thanks” replied the king
“ your welcome” said Ella.
Suddenly people were clapping at me  I couldn't help but smile.
So all of room four hurried to the rainbow reading room I felt so happy  I was so proud of myself.

Shoping with my Mum

Mischa 28/7/16 Shopping With My Mum
One rainy day, my mum and I drove off to The Base because I had to spend my birthday money.

I wanted to have a look at the Warehouse so Mum and I ran through the freezing rain to get to the Warehouse.

When I finally reached  the warmth air of the shop, I could  no longer feel the cold rain.

First, I spotted a blue blanket. I could not keep my eyes off it so  I asked my mum if I could get it. Mum replied yes. I was so happy.

Soon after that, my eyes spotted two pairs of pyjamas one had Pink flamingos and the other pair had Paris. I asked if I could get the Pyjamas.  Mum said yes.  My heart was pounding with excitement.

Ten minutes later, I asked if I could go to Kmart so Mum and I had to walk in the freezing cold air.

Finally, when Mum and I arrived in the warmth air of Kmart, I raced to the pillows I saw a pillow it said dream.

So Mum and I  strolled off to the checkouts and paid for my pillow. I was so happy.

Matariki

Long time ago, there lived seven sisters. They were mean to other people. They thought they were the best even though they were the meanest. They loved making people cry and they loved stealing people's goodies.

One day, the seven sisters climbed a tree. It was not like any other tree. It was called the golden tree because it was gold coloured. The tree reached right to the sky but this day it led them to more.

As they climbed up the big tree, they heard a big noise. They got frightened. It was an albatross flying in the air. All of the seven sisters got scared as the albatross came towards them. They got caught then suddenly the seven sisters got put up in the milky way and that is how Matariki started.

Tom's Bad Day With His Snake

WALT make up a story about a Pet Day problem.
WWBSWW:
  • Begin with an orientation to tell the reader who, did what, where and when.
“Pet Day will be on Friday,” Miss Anderson, Tom’s teacher, announced to the class on Monday. “Bring your pet to school and tell us about it, then we will have a pet parade.”
Tom was so excited. He would be able to bring Harry to school to
show everyone.
  • Write the events leading up to the problem.
At the end of the day, he ran all the way home to get his pet ready for Friday.
He loved Harry and had wanted to show his friends for a long time, but his mum and dad had told him that Harry must never leave the house; but, now, his
teacher had given him permission to bring it to school.
Smilingly, he polished Harry’s green silky skin, talking to it with his friendly voice. “You’re allowed to come to school, Harry. You can meet my friends and my friends can meet you.”
As soon as Friday came around, Harry carefully took Harry out of its cage and placed him into his black backpack. He couldn’t wait to get to school, so he ran
all the way.
When the bell rang, he and the rest of the class stepped into the
classroom.
  • Write the problem.
Tom opened his backpack to show his friends what he had brought to school for Pet Day.
“It’s a green, slippery, slimey …...................” he said slowly. “Snake!” he
shouted.
“Tom Denver, give me that thing right now!” Miss Anderson
commanded.
Tom opened his hand to pass it over, but, at that moment, naughty Billy Burton lunged to grab it himself. He bumped Tom’s shoulder and Tom hurtled forward, the snake flying out of his hand to the back of the classroom.
“Eeeeeee! Where is it?” squealed Miss Anderson.
Chaos threatened in Room 4.  Children jumped up and ran around, screeching
their lungs out and pushing over chairs and desks, trying to find Tom’s snake.

  • Write the events to tell your readers how the problem was solved.
Miss Anderson was mad but, suddenly, Tom had a solution. He asked his friend, Johnathan, to get some food so he did.

Tom stood behind Harry and, with a big HISS! Tom let go.

Everyone was screaming their lungs out.

Tom yanked Harry. He struggled as he was trying to hold on. He was frightened. He did not want to get told off any more.

Everyone was happy.

"Right!" roared Miss Anderson. "You will not bring Harry again!"

Everyone agreed with a big ‘yes’.

Tom smiled and sat down at his tall desk.

Well done, Mischa. You have written some interesting sentences, especially in paragraph 4, where you explained to us how Tom was feeling.

The Magic Show

Today we all got to see a magic show. We got to see Jonathan and ‘You got the power.’ My heart was pounding with excitement.
We all went into the hall. Everyone came in. Johnathan said hello. We all said hello back. He smiled.
‘Wow!’ I thought as his wallet caught on fire. My eyes lit up! I thought it would burn his wallet but, no! It was still the same. I think if I did that, my wallet would burn.
After that, he did another one. He asked a little girl, called Riley, to choose her favourite animal. She got a dog.
After that, it was time to go. We were sad, but our next magic show was called YOU GOT THE POWER.
As the bird flew out of the tiny cage, we saw a beautiful rainbow. My eyes were in heaven, just looking at the beautiful bird.
About ten minutes later, my favourite magic show was the floating man. Sue told El Gregoe to lie on the table. He replied, “Ok,” but, suddenly, he started floating! Woosh! I could not believe my eyes! My sister, Ruby, could not believe her eyes either.
Unfortunately, it was time to go home, but I liked going to the magic show. It was the best day ever!

Pentecost

The  Church is people spreading the Good News.
When Jesus died,  his disciples got scared but then Jesus sent  the Holy Spirit  and gave them courage.
After Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to his disciples, they were not scared and started to tell the Good News then everyone started to believe the Good News of Jesus.  We celebrate this day because it is important. It is Pentecost.
It was the beginning of the Church.
